In Ghana….at last

January 17th, 2010 · Comments

Anna and Neil arrived in Ghana with Alex, Lou and Andy to start work on our latest projects in the villages of Ghana. Our three hardy volunteers spent their first day in Accra the capital of Ghana changing money and just acclimatising to the 30C + weather and constant sunshine, a bit of a shock from the snow and cold of England…….

This afternoon we hire two taxis for the trip up to the village. Our trusty land rover, Gordon was blowing clouds of blue smoke out of the engine so we are hoping Maeve our second vehicle housed in our base camp in the village  will not let us down.

Terrorism in Mali forces 2010 Overland Trip to be cancelled

December 16th, 2009 · Comments

Due to the high threat from terrorism in Mali the Overland trip leaving the UK in Jan 2010 is now cancelled. After a long debate it was decided that on advice from the Foreign Office it would be unwise to travel across Mali. It is with regret we offer our condolences to those who have put so much time, money and effort in to making this event happen.

As a charity we will be without much needed funds and support . Lets hope the trip can be rearranged later in 2010
